Why an hourly charge?

This first service is always a deep cleaning of your home to get it to the highest standard of clean. In these cleanings, we get into every accessible room, top to bottom, right to left, and thoroughly. Expect your interior windows to be serviced, those tracks under the windows, your sills..every crevice. We detail the home. This takes an exceptional amount of time; up to double, sometimes triple the time we would normally take when performing your standard cleaning. We often add extra team members to reduce the amount of time we are in your home, reduce the cost to you, and produce a result that would take a homeowner all weekend to achieve but within a few short hours. We are serious about delivering back to you a level of quality unsurpassed by our competitors. We take great pride in our results and stand by our satisfaction guarantee.   We know our tried and true cleaning methods work and the results are always phenomenal. But the process takes longer and is much more detailed than your regular cleanings, which is why we resort to an hourly charge.

What about the price of those next cleanings after that first one? Are they on an hourly rate too?

No, they are priced at a steeply discounted flat rate. Once your deep cleaning has occurred, your home is now positioned for standard cleanings because it’s now been properly cleaned. The build-up of weeks/months/years of grime and dirt has been removed and we can move quickly and most efficiently through each room. As a recurring client, you are offered a pricing which is really a mere fraction of the cost of the first deeper cleaning. We want you back after that first cleaning as a happy, repeat client. We have zero motivation to gouge our clients or charge exorbitant rates for any cleaning. We know you have many choices in this industry, which is why we are priced so well. We want your business!

Who will be cleaning my home and who supplies the cleaning products?

Our employees are all vetted and subject to background screening checks through Intellicorp. They are professionally trained and continually educated in the industry’s best cleaning methods. You will have an entire team of employees servicing your home who  move as a unit, efficiently and effectively, for the greatest results possible. All our employees are insured and bonded and secured by workers compensation insurance.

 

Products: Unless you request we only use a certain product from your personal collection of cleansers, we arrive with all the equipment, cleansers, and supplies your home will need to get Limelight clean! We do all the work so you don’t have to!

Does Limelight Cleaners require me to sign a contract for a term of service?

In a word, no.  We do, however, require all our Clients to sign our Limelight Cleaners

House Cleaning Service Agreement which explains our Policies and Practices and also

describes the services you have asked us to provide for you. Our Agreements let you

know what to expect for each of your services, and allows you to customize your

cleanings as you see fit. It will never bind you to a term of time with us. Our clients customize our time and visits to their specific needs, not the other way around.

I have fur babies/pets. Is Limelight pet-friendly?

We are, for sure, pet friendly! If your fur baby becomes aggressive around visitors in your

home, however, we would need you to take measures to reduce your the pet’s anxiety or

stress by either supervising him/her at all times while we are there, or corralling your pet

away for your team’s safety until your service is complete and your team has left.

Certainly, advise us of any pets in the home prior to our first visit with you, or if there are

any issues with any of your fur babies prior to any of our visits. We never want them to be stressed when we are in their home.

What happens if my team damages something in my home during my cleaning?

Every effort is made to be as careful as possible with your items, however, accidents do
happen. Limelight Cleaners is insured and bonded. If your team was responsible, they
are required to notify the home office and leave the homeowner a note. We will contact
you within 24 hours to discuss replacement, repair or reimbursement, should the damage have been caused by our negligence. Notification by the homeowner about damage must also be made within 24 hours of breakage/loss of any personal items.

Items which are antique, irreplaceable, hard to find, etc. are not covered by our breakage policy. Please remove these items by the day of your cleaning as we are not liable for such unique items.

Limelight Cleaners is not responsible for damage incurred by the improper installation of any object (such as a window blind/tv not properly affixed) within your home.  All surfaces are assumed sealed.  If you know of any surface not sealed, you must notify us so that we may clean properly.

What is the deal with not being able to clean my self-cleaning oven during my deep clean with a cleanser?

Limelight Cleaners cannot apply chemicals to oven interiors which are self-cleaning as this will damage the appliance. We always ask our clients to engage the self-cleaning function 48 hours prior to the day of a cleaning to permit the oven interior to be cleaned by us according to the manufacturer’s instructions on your service day.

Why does Limelight constantly mention the “accessibility” of rooms?

We feel it’s very important that our Clients know that we can and will

only service those rooms or areas which are accessible to us. Closets, drawers, and

cabinets which contain personal property will not be opened, cleaned by our staff,

or included in your service. Bulky/heavy furniture or heavy/delicate personal property

blocking interior windows or boundaries of rooms create inaccessible areas which cannot

be serviced unless moved prior to cleaning by the Client. Flat surfaces, such as shelving,

with antiquities/fragile/collectible items must be cleared/removed by owner to enable

Can I leave a copy of my house key with my team for future visits; do I need to be home when my team is servicing the house?

Limelight Cleaners does not require homeowners to remain on site while we clean your home. So long as we have permission to enter, have been provided a mechanism to enter, or are met by the owner or a representative of the owner to provide us access, we can clean for you whether you decide to stay the whole time or not. Many of our clients also provide us a copy of their house key which we safeguard, code and secure in our home office.  Locksmith fees are paid only if Limelight Cleaners misplaces a key.

How and when do I make payment for services?

Limelight Cleaners requires full payment on the day of your cleaning. We accept all major  credit cards, personal or bank check, and, of course, good ole’ cash.

 

A $20 non-payment fee will apply if payment is not received on scheduled cleaning day.  There will be a 10% finance fee added on for payments later than 15 days and accrued monthly.  We have the right to discontinue services until payment is made. Any client desirous of leaving payment by check or cash should place payment in a conspicuous place in the kitchen for the Team Leader to retrieve upon conclusion of our services. If a check is returned due to insufficient funds, a $30 fee will be assessed and any fees then owed shall be due promptly and must be paid via cash or money order only. If payment is to be made by the credit card on file, the Client shall be charged within 24 hours of the service.

I asked that my team arrive at a specific time and they were a half-hour late/half-hour early!

Your Limelight Team makes every effort to arrive at the time you are expecting us. Sometimes we are delayed coming from a previous client’s home or due to traffic; this is unavoidable. Your team will send an sms/text or contact you by phone to advise you of any delay.

What are some of your other policies or practices I should be made aware of?

We’re glad you asked! Here are a few:

 

Heavy objects and Heights: Limelight Cleaners does not use ladders or move items more than 35 pounds to protect us and our employees from injury.  If you would like cleaning behind heavy objects or furniture, please move prior to your cleaning.

 

Bleach: Limelight Cleaners does not use bleach.  If Client requests the use of bleach, Limelight Cleaners is not responsible for any damage it may cause.

 

Bio-Hazardous Materials:Limelight Cleaners staff does not clean animal cages or litter boxes, animal droppings, human feces or urine (except in bathroom toilets), vomit, soiled clothing or other similar biohazards; nor does our staff remove or touch animal/pest traps or dead, decaying or diseased animals in your home. 

 

Alarms: Limelight Cleaners prefers that alarms are kept off for the day of cleaning.  If it must be on and the alarm is triggered, Limelight Cleaners is not responsible for any fees associated with alarm.

 

Employees Working for You: If you would like to hire a present or past Limelight Cleaners staff member for any house cleaning service outside of your Agreement with Limelight Cleaners, our referral fee is $2,500.  All employees of Limelight Cleaners are under a non-compete contract for a period of one year following termination or resignation from the Company.

 

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received 1 day prior to scheduled service or a $50 no-show fee will be applied.  This includes instances where we cannot access your home or an employee feels their personal safety is at risk due to an aggressive animal/pet or actions by any individuals on the premise. Limelight Cleaners reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.  [Having said that, Limelight is not a fee-happy company trying to capitalize on our client’s worst life moments. We understand emergencies arise in families and we are the last people on your mind when that happens. We understand that when mitigating circumstances truly exist, we would be really awful people to compound your stress and charge you for not cancelling on time. We love our clients and we understand that stuff like that is going to happen. No worries.]

 

Business Hours/Holidays/Weather: Business and visiting hours fall between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and services are usually completed during this time. 

 

Limelight Cleaners does not accept time specific calls as we cannot guarantee specific times accurately due to traffic or unforeseen delays servicing a prior client.  We reserve the right to cancel scheduled cleanings due to inclement weather, and will make your rescheduled appointment our priority.

 

Limelight Cleaners uses the Federal/State Holiday’s as a guideline and does not do holiday visits.  If your scheduled day falls on a holiday, such as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas, Limelight Cleaners will attempt to reschedule your service as close to your service day as possible.

 

Guarantee Policy:  Limelight Cleaners wants you to be completely satisfied every time.  If, within 24 hours, you are not satisfied with any area we have serviced, Limelight Cleaners will come back to your home and re-clean said items at no additional charge.

What will it cost to clean my home?

I know you’ll hate reading this but…..it really depends. The first time we clean for you is always at an hourly rate. Our hourly rates are $120/hour but we typically run specials every month which significantly discount even that already competitive rate. We tend to stay in the spirit of the calendar year and will capitalize on special holidays like: “Labor Day, Every Day in September”, for example.
